Relamping

One of the quickest and easiest ways to start reducing energy consumption is by changing older inefficient lighting technolgies for newer ones. The number of technologies now available is large including Compact Fluorescent, (CFL), Infra Red Coated (IRC) Halogen lamps, LED and Energy Efficient Tubes.

Financial savings can also be made by using longer life lamps. Using 15,000hr fluorescent tubes instead of 6,000hr lamps significantly reduces your maintenance costs, particularly if those lamps are in high roofed areas such as warehouses.

Site Survey and Cost of Ownership Modelling

During a site survey, usuallly conducted with your maintenance manager, we examine lighting in every area of your facility including car parks, reception areas, offices, stairwells and corridors. In any one installation a multitude of different lamp types may be used in different zones from low voltage and mains voltage halogen to T8 fluorescent tubes, SON and metal halide.

Cost of ownership modelling then illustrates the total and true cost of owning and running your lighting, which goes way beyond just the cost of the lamps. Using your real, actual data the report includes lamp costs, number of lamps, hours they are in use, power consumption, your Kw/hr charge and maintenance costs. Cross specifying every lamp, where possible, with a more economical alternative the report highlights your carbon savings in tonnes per year and your financial savings made as a result of using longer life or lower energy lamps.

Installation of New Lamps and Reclamation of Old Lamps:

Upon specification we will arrange installation and reclamation with either your own contractors or our own.
